We are dedicated to minimising unnecessary returns and their environmental footprint as part of our commitment to reducing our impact on the planet. Returns often carry an unseen impact on the environment, as each one involves transportation, processing, and repackaging. These contribute to carbon emissions, generate waste, and increase operational expenses.

As part of this commitment, from 19th May 2025 we will charge £2.95 for UK returns. This small fee supports our sustainability efforts while ensuring that we continue to create the pieces you love.

We have a 30-day returns policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. For sale items, this decreases to 14 days.

• To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging
• Any items that do meet these standards will be returned to you at our cost and not refunded. However, we reserve the right to charge you the cost of postage.
• Please note: we do not accept returns of swimwear unless the hygiene seal is intact

In keeping with our sustainability commitments we have removed all paperwork from our parcels (hurrah!) - don't worry, it's still easy to make a return with us. Simply use the digital receipt emailed to you after placing your order or use the link here to head to our Returns Portal.

When creating your return, please enter your order number from your order confirmation email and the email you used to place the order. Your order number will look something like this #26004.

If you prefer not to use our Returns portal, you can return your parcel at your own expense to:

Yes, we now offer exchanges within our returns portal so you can easily swap your item/s for another size. Simply select this option within the portal and as soon as your return parcel is in transit to us, our warehouse will send out your replacement with free delivery.

If you want to exchange for a different item you can choose the SHOP NOW option within the returns portal, this will generate a Gift Card as soon as your return parcel is in transit. This will allow you to reorder your items without waiting for a refund to your original payment method.

Please ensure you keep your proof of postage; this will be needed in the event you need to contact our Customer Services Team about your return.

Don't worry if you've lost your order number, our team are happy to help find this for you and assist in processing a return.

Please send an email to [email protected] including:

• The email address you placed the order with
• The name of the item(s) you wish to return

Please inspect your order once it arrives and if the item is defective, damaged or if you've received the wrong item, contact us immediately at [email protected] so that we can make it right! If an item is faulty we will offer a full refund.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and then let you know if the refund was approved.

• Please allow 2-3 working days from return for the order to get to us and a further 7 days for us to process the return and send you an email.
• Once approved, please note it can take up to 10 days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept returns of purchases made in our stores via our web returns portal or posted directly to our returns centre. Purchases made in-store must be returned in the store you made the purchase. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Please be aware that we are also not able to accommodate returns of Albaray items purchased from our partners including John Lewis, M&S, Next, Fenwick and Boundary Mills. Returns must be made directly with the retailer.

Your item(s) should be sent back to us within 30 days of receipt as per the Albaray Returns Policy. Late returns outside of the 30 days return timeframe may either be returned back to the customer or refunded as Online Credit.

Please take care when trying on garments. Any damaged or dirty items may be accepted at Albaray’s discretion and may either be returned back to the customer or refunded as Online Credit.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer gift receipts for online purchases. 

If a gifted item is returned for a refund, the refund will be made to the original payment method and a confirmation email will be sent to the person who made the original purchase.

Any refunds on products purchased using the gift card will be made onto the original E-Gift Card and are not available for cash refunds.

When an E-Gift Card is used for partial payment and the remainder is paid with a Credit/Debit Card or another payment method, any refund will first be issued to the E-Gift Card up to the original amount paid using the gift card. Any remaining balance from the return will then be refunded to the Credit/Debit Card or other payment method used.

For example, if you paid £50 with an E-Gift Card and £50 with a Debit Card, returning a £25 item would result in a £25 refund to the E-Gift Card. If you returned a £75 item, £50 would be refunded to the E-Gift Card and £25 to the Debit Card. 

In our returns portal we are happy to offer store credit in the form of a Gift Card to spend on Albaray’s website in lieu of a refund. A Gift Card will be automatically emailed to you and will include an added bonus amount. Please be aware that this means you will not receive a refund on your payment method for example credit or debit card, PayPal or Klarna. If Klarna was the selected payment method, you will still need to pay off the remaining balance.

Please note: Once you have had your item/s altered it will no longer be eligible to return via our policy, but SOJO are dedicated to making the fit work for you. Albaray is not liable for any tailoring service carried out by SOJO.

If you need to make a return after our Chichester Store closes, our friendly Customer Services Team will be happy to help. Just keep hold of your receipt and get in touch—they’ll provide you with a Royal Mail returns label. You can reach out directly at [email protected] or call 0203 808 7000.

Unfortunately we're unable to offer exchanges for Jersey & Guernsey orders. If you need a different size, you'll need to return your original order and place a new order.

Isle of Man
